S., Hanhur V. V., Staniak M. The effect of mineral fertilization and plant density on corn productivity. XI Konferencja Naukowa Polskiego Towarzystwa Agronomicznego, 17-19 września 2025 r. Puławy, 2025. S.198-199.The article highlights the research results on optimizing technological methods of corn cultivation to ensure maximum grain productivity. The authors analyze the nature of the interaction between mineral nutrition levels and plant standing density as determining factors in the formation of the yield structure. It was found that increasing the application rates of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizers allows for an increase in the optimal sowing density, which contributes to the growth of the assimilation surface area of leaves and the intensity of photosynthetic processes. The paper provides quantitative indicators of the influence of these factors on ear grain content and 1,000-kernel weight. It is substantiated that for each level of fertilization, there is a critical thickening limit, exceeding which leads to interspecies competition for moisture and nutrients, reducing individual plant productivity. The results of the study allow for providing recommendations for adapting sowing density to specific nutritional backgrounds to achieve the highest profitability.enCornmineral fertilizationplant densityproductivityyield structurephotosynthetic potentialnutritional backgroundear grain contentThe effect of mineral fertilization and plant density on corn productivityArticle
