(Cracow, Poland, 2021-09-22) Ivanchenko, O.; Kharchenko, V.; Moroz, B.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Degtyareva, L. M.; Поночовний, Юрій Леонідович; Дегтярьова, Лариса Миколаївна
Nowadays Markov Modelling Processes (MMP) found widely use into realm pertaining to availability assessments of diverse complex. technical systems and devices. In this regard, Cloud Server Systems (CSSs) are no exception. However, in order to leverage MMPs for the availability evaluation of CSSs the researchers should take into account that this assessmet procedure based on the utilization of just one distributio that is exponential distribution of times to failure, times 10 repair et prelit events and impacts. In that regard, that some groups of researchers into realm pertaining to CSSs availability are increasingly trying to leverage approaches based on Sem Markov Modelling Processes (SMMPs). Using SMMPs the researchers can consider more number of parametric characteristics and have a realistic picture as regards of availability level for the server system addition, seeking to improve overall availability of CSSs, the results for SMMPs in the so-called borders’ states, when Non-Markovian Process transforms at Markovian Process.

Availability models and maintenance strategies for smart building automation systems considering attacks on component vulnerabilities
(Springer Verlag, 2018) Kharchenko, V.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Mustafa Qahtan Abdulmunem, A.-S.; Andrashov, A.; Поночовний, Юрій Леонідович
The paper deals with developing and researching Markov’s models and assessing of the availability of Instrumentation and control systems which are a part of smart building automation system (BAS). It was determined that the causes of failures and unavailability of the BAS component architecture can be hardware (physical), software (design) faults, and successful attacks on vulnerabilities (interaction faults), first of all. BAS failures are related to reliability issue, attacks on vulnerabilities is related to security issue. These two reason groups are considered as elements of two disjoint sets. The paper presents the detailed analysis of the BAS architecture consisting of control (FPGA-based), communication (ZigBee) and data levels considering their faults and vulnerabilities. Besides, maintenance procedures (without, common and separate maintenance for reliability and security) are described.

    (CEUR-WS, 2016) Bulba, E.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Sklyar, V.; Ivasiuk, A.
This article presents the basic phases of the development and research instrumentation and control system (ICS) functional safety Markov models on the basis of the self-diagnosing programmable platform. The set of the models sets is obtained on the basis of the failure tree development and analysis, which includes the ICS hardware channels detected and undetected failures. There the classification of ICS in a normal operation mode, considering the different majority body modes and diagnostics levels is presented. The application of the models has allowed determining the boundaries of the ICS safety integrity level 3 (SIL3) in two-dimensional space of the input parameters and system operational time. © 2016 by the paper authors.

Cybernetic Approach to Developing Resilient Systems: Concept, Models and Application
    (2020-07) Kharchenko, V.; Dotsenko, S.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Illiashenko, O.; Поночовний, Юрій Леонідович
The paper contains the results of the development and implementation of a cybernetic approach to the creation of resilient systems. The architecture of a resilient system contains redundant components compared to a traditional feedback control system. This is primarily due to the need to implement additional channels in the control system to respond to changes in requirements, environment, or unspecified faults and failures. The general structure of a resilient system is based on the principle of dividing control channels for functional and non-functional characteristics. This allows to react to changes in the information component of the environment during attacks on the system to ensure its cybersecurity. The case for a space resiient system with online verification is described. Three scenarios of the system behaviour to assure resilience are suggested and the first scenario is explored by the use of Markov model. That allows offering options for improving availability function and other indicators of resilient systems.

    (2020-05) Ivanchenko, O.; Kharchenko, V.; Brezhnev, E.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Moroz, B.; Kabak, L.; Поночовний, Юрій Леонідович
Control (SCADA) system is one the most significant cyber-oriented components of management circuit for any complex hierarchical infrastructure. The effectiveness and performance of the SCADA system depends on a number of relevant factors including a possibility to utilize additional cloud resources. Of particular note, the cloud services ean apply in order to create concurrent redundant system for implementation of disaster recovery feature of SCADA information resources during different deliberate malicious impacts and intrusions. However, in spite of the fact that usage of the cloud services allow to enhance functionality of SCADA system, there are dependability and cybersecurity’ aspects for their joint utilization hat keep to remain a serious challenge for service personnel and users. In this paper, authors propose to employ analytical and stochastic modelling in order to get a numerical dependability assessment for SCADA system with realization of the cloud resourcing support considering influence of diverse negative factors, Furthermore, developers can utilize these modelling results in order to perform justification of overall functional requirements of the SCADA system.

The article discusses the use of digital mathematical models in justifying public policy for sustainab economic development. The wider expediency uses of statis analysis methods to substantiate public administration de in the digital economy is explained, The technique of forming and preparation of experimental data for the construction of a mathematical regression model is described. The hypothesis of normal distribution ofthe input data was tested according to the statistical criteria of Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Lilliefors and Shapiro-Wilk. Box-Cox transformation was used to normalize the data, The linear multiple regression coefficients. are determined by the least squares method. The quality of the resulting model was evaluated using the Student's and Fisher's criteria, The results of the forecast of financial stability of agricultural enterprises for 2020-2022 and the factor indicators indicate the negative dynamics of the effective indicator of their financial condition. The proposed model can be used to continuously monitor the financial condition of agricultural enterprises by linking it to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

This article presents the information and control system of smart building is considered as a set of subsystems including a building automation system (BAS). BAS security and availability during its life cycle are assessed using the Markov models. Markov model is used to develop number of strategies which help to recover system and elimination all the possibility threat, during life of systems. Strategies of developing Markov models for describing the recovery of system components after an attack or a software failure are discussed. The use of Markov models is usually justified by the customer's requirements for a specific criterion for assessing the quality of the system.
