The article analyses the primary methods for determining dynamic characteristics. It has been established that the real environment in which the dynamic processes of seismicexplosive wave propagation occur is not described by an ideal model and is very difficult to describe with equations. The vibration acceleration resulting from the seismic action of explosions in quarry mining and processing plants has been calculated. It has been determined that the calculation can be performed using analytical methods and the finite element method (error of about 4%). It has been established that the application of the finite element method to calculate vibration acceleration during blasting operations in quarries enables the desired value to be calculated at any point of the object under study with reduced working time.
