dc.description.abstractIn 2016, the system of state control over the legality of decisions of local self-government bodies, within which general supervision was entrusted to the prosecutor's office, was abolished, but a new mechanism for such supervision has not yet been created. The lack of a new mechanism of state supervision over the legality of decisions of local self-government bodies increases the risks of the spread of legal nihilism and does not meet the goals of Ukraine’s European integration. Hence there is a need to substantiate the new principles of building a system of state supervision over the legality of decision-making by local self-government bodies.
