Анотація
The article defines the essence of intellectual capital of higher educational institutions as a basis for their innovation development. The structural elements of intellectual capital of higher educational institutions are characterized and their features are revealed. The methods of motivation for innovative activity of scientific and pedagogical workers of institutions of higher education with the purpose of raising the level of their intellectual capital are determined. Modern methods and techniques of motivation and stimulation of students for educational and cognitive activity taking into account the innovative direction of the development of higher education are researched.
