Item Components of physicochemical properties and chemical composition of muscle tissue of young pigs of different growth intensities, the level of their phenotypic consolidation, and correlation(Lviv, Ukraine, 2023) Khalak, V.; Gutyj, B.; Voloshchuk, V. M.; Guta, Z.; Verbelchuk, T. V.; Ilchenko, M. O.; Ільченко, Марія ОлександрівнаThe work presents the results of the study of some biochemical indicators of blood serum, physicochemical properties, and chemical composition of muscle tissue of young pigs of the large white breed and the calculation of correlations between the main quantitative characteristics. The work was carried out in the agricultural formations of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the research center for biosafety and environmental control of agricultural resources of the Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, LLC “Globynskyi Myasokbinat” of the Poltava region, the zootechnical analysis laboratory of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-industrial Production of the National Academy of Sciences and the animal husbandry laboratory of the state institution “Institute of Grain Crops of NAAS”.Item Sazer-Fredin index — an effective method of assessing young pigs for feeding and meat qualities(2023-02-11) Khalak, V.; Gutyj, B.; Ilchenko, M. O.; Ільченко, Марія ОлександрівнаThe purpose of the work was to investigate the fanening and meat quality of young pigs of different intrabreed differentiation according to the Sazer-Fredin index and, based on the obtained data, to calculate the economic effi- ciency of the results of the experiment. The research was carried out in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the animal husbandry laboratory of the State Institution “Institute of Grain Crops of the National Academy of Sciences”.Item Young pig fattening and meat quality due to varying formation intensities in early ontogenesis and two genotypes of the melanocortin receptor 4 (Mc4r) gene(Poland, 2023) Khalak, V.; Voloshchuk, V.; Gutyj, B.; Zasucha, L.; Onyshchenko, A.; Ilchenko, M. O.; Ofilenko, N.; Pokhyl, V.; Pundyk, V.; Stadnytska, O.; Ільченко, Марія ОлександрівнаThe aim of this study was to investigate young pig fattening and meat quality due to the varying formation intensities in early ontogenesis and two genotypes based on the melanocortin receptor 4 (Mc4r) gene. To calculate the correlations between traits and the economic efficiency of using animals of experimental groups in industrial complex conditions, the assessment of animals for fattening and meat quality examined the following characteristics: average daily live weight gain during the control fattening period in grams; age of reaching 100 kg live weight in days, chilled carcass length in centimetres; length of the bacon half of the cooled carcass in centimetres; lard thickness at the thoracic vertebrae T6-T7 in millimetres.
