Ukraine has a significant land-resource potential. As of January 1st, 2016, the land fund of Ukraine is 60,3 million hectares or about 6 % of the territory of Europe. Agricultural lands amount approximately 19 % of the total European, including arable land – 27 %. The index of agricultural land per one person is the highest among European countries and amount 0,9 hectare, including 0,7 hectare of arable land (average European countries – 0,44 and 0,25 hectare, respectively)
