Abstract
Mixing is a critical component of biotechnological processes, particularly in submerged cultivation of microorganisms, including recombinant strains. In such systems, homogeneity of the nutrient medium, uniform oxygen distribution, and stable pH and temperature depend directly on the effectiveness of mixing. This issue becomes especially significant when working with genetically modified microorganisms, which, due to the presence of foreign DNA, demonstrate increased sensitivity to external stressors, including mechanical agitation.
