Item Cybercrime as a leading threat to information security in the countries with transitional economy(Atlantis Press, 2018-06-18) Somych, M. I.; Markina, I. A.; Diachkov, D. V.; Сьомич, Микола Іванович; Маркіна, Ірина Анатоліївна; Дячков, Дмитро ВолодимировичThe peculiarity of the modern economy is related to its informational character which affects the sharp increase of cyber incidents in the field of information security that are widespread and becoming threatening and are relevant to a broad range of private, corporate, as well as state interests. The problem of forming an effective information security system is exacerbated by the spread of cybercrime as a leading threat to information security, both in Ukraine and throughout the world. Thus, World Economic Crime Survey shows that almost every third organization faces economic offenses, of which about a third are the cybercrimes. The paper analyzes the data of two main indicators of the country’s cybersecurity: Global Cybersecurity Index and the National Cybersecurity Index. According to the first one, some indicators of the Index in contemporary Ukraine became problematic. These are as follows: the absence of sectoral cybersecurity centers, the lack or low standards of cybersecurity of organizations and professional standards in this field, Internet safety for children, and the practical implementation of activities. The results of the analysis of the main indicators of the National Cybersecurity Index make it possible to state that the leading shortcomings in the field of cyber defense for Ukraine are: the lack of protection of digital services, the lack of crisis management in the field of cyber crisis management, the lack of effective military cyber operations.Item Cybercrime as a leading threat to information security in the countries with transitional economy(Atlantis Press, 2018-10-30) Somych, M. Therefore, its economic growth is required for the society to live a normal life. The rightly calculated cost of a product, without which the enterprise will perform at a loss, is one of the economic aspects of the agricultural enterprise growth. Based on four analyzed approaches to allocating indirect production costs (sales costs, hard costs, marginal income, labor inputs), we have chosen the most optimal one in terms of the fair product cost setting. The analysis was carried out in the Zhovten LLC (Stanychno- Lugansk District). It was carried out at the industry- based and product-based levels. We have calculated the profitability index and allocated an approach for the most optimal product cost calculation.Item Entropy model management of organization(IDOSI Publications, 2014) Markina, I. I.; Маркіна, Ірина Анатоліївна; Сьомич, Микола ІвановичNowadays Ukraine has the highest level of the shadow economy in the Eastern Europe. Many entrepreneurs in this country operate in the informal sector of the national economy. In the given paper, the key reasons because of which the business-owners prefer to keep their business operations in the informal sector of the economy have been analyzed. Due to the various global indices, published by the world’s most respected and trustworthy research organizations, the weaknesses of the Ukrainian economy, affecting the “shadow” activity of the registered enterprises, were identified. The combination of high-level corruption and bureaucracy in the country has led to an increase in the level of confidence of entrepreneurs in state authorities. The common characteristic of “shady businessmen” in Ukraine is that the operating in the informal sector is their conscious choice for more business opportunities.Understanding the motivations that drive entrepreneurs is essential to develop effective policies to facilitate the formalization of the selected informal businesses. The “carrot and stick” method, which is considered to be the traditional one in Ukraine, is not effective in terms of political instability and lack of reform. That is why the given paper presents a complex model of the formalization of the shadow economy in Ukraine, which combines both direct and indirect approaches.Item The influence of social responsibility on the quality of life improvement as a significant element of management of sustainable development of cooperatives: Ukrainian and foreign experience(Trade Co-operative University of Moldova, 2018) Markina, I. A.; Oke, O.; Diachkov, D. V.; Маркіна, Ірина Анатоліївна; Дячков, Дмитро ВолодимировичThe paper describes the special conditions for the functioning of modern cooperatives, as well as the need to provide favorable conditions for their further sustainable development. At the same time, it is pointed out that it is necessary to take into account the interests of all the participating parties and, accordingly, their social responsibility. A methodical approach to assessing the impact of the social responsibility of cooperatives on the quality of life of the population is proposed. It is not only based on the calculation of the three-component indicator of cooperative participation in solving population problems (economic, social and environmental components), but also takes into account the four levels of their responsibility (complete irresponsibility, too little participation, moderate participation, high social responsibility) and identifies the main obstacles (economic, social and organizational ones) that interfere with sustainable development. The calculated values of the integrated indicator of the effect of cooperatives on the quality of life of the population in Ukraine and Nigeria did not reach the normative level, which indicates a low level of social responsibility in these both countries. The main circumstances that prevent the development of the quality of life of the population are highlighted, namely: the lack of infrastructure, the lack of human resources, the inability to properly support the cooperative movement at the national level, political instability, adverse climatic conditions, the marginalization of the rural population, frequent outbreaks of epidemics that completely destroy existing agricultural zones. Summarizing the above, the authors highlighted key points that hamper the successful implementation of social programs of cooperatives in both Ukraine and Nigeria: lack / shortage of monetary resources; insufficient level of competence of managers who are poorly versed in the advantages and specificity of socially responsible behavior; shortage of temporary resources necessary for the development and implementation of social programs; personal characteristics of the cooperative founder; partial awareness of cooperatives in urgent social needs; the reluctance of the media to comprehensively and systematically cover the social initiatives of entrepreneurs. In turn, the following factors contribute to the social activity of cooperatives: high motivation of cooperative members; active participation in the organization and realization of social projects.Item The influence of the shadow economy on the socio-economic development of Ukraine(International Business School ISM Slovakia in Preshov, 2017) Markina, I. A.; Somych, M. I.; Diachkov, D. V.; Маркіна, Ірина Анатоліївна; Сьомич, Микола Іванович; Дячков, Дмитро ВолодимировичThe paper identifies the key factors constraining the development of the economy of Ukraine in the time horizon of 2020 to 2030, which include as follows: the share of the shadow economy, the scale of corruption, the pension burden on the state budget, the servicing of the public debt, and the energy intensity of Ukraine’s GDP. These factors have a negative impact on other, no less important aspects of the country’s socio-economic development, among which it is necessary to mention, first of all, the energy dependence of the country, the deterioration of the external market conditions, imbalance in the structure of the national economy, low GDP per capita, the imperfection of the financial and credit system, the social dimension etc. The results obtained on the basis of abovementioned factors estimation include a set of indicators, which are respectively strong and weak factors for the further development of the social component of the economy of Ukraine. In this regard, a specific sequence of actions of public authorities aimed at minimizing the deterrent factors of Ukraine’s socio-economic development is defined in the given paper. The calculations of the integral indicators necessary to establish the quantitative change (decrease of the integral estimation) of the indicators are made and the ranks of socio-economic development factors are determined taking into account the adjustment of the scenarios in the medium-term (up to 2020) and long-term (up to 2030) time horizon, which is, of course, a positive trend.Item The peculiarities of implementing the world experience in the process of un shadowing the economy of Ukraine(2019) Markina, I.
