    Interdisciplinary integration of fundamental disciplines in training engineers of technical profile

    The article theoretically substantiates and practically outlines the structural and functional model of interdisciplinary integration of fundamental disciplines (physics, mathematics, chemistry, and computer science) in the professional training of engineering students. Under the conditions of rapid technological transformation, industry 5.0 development, and cross-functional engineering requirements, the traditional isolated approach to teaching fundamental sciences is proven to be insufficient. The author reveals the essence of interdisciplinary integration as a didactic mechanism that transforms abstract academic knowledge into a tool for solving complex applied engineering problems. The structural components of the integration process are identified: motivational, content-technological, and professional-adaptive. Special emphasis is placed on practical integration tools, such as end-to-end professional problem solving, computer-aided design systems (CAD), mathematical modeling packages, and STEM/STEAM methodologies. It is demonstrated that the implementation of interdisciplinary links enhances students' abstract-logical thinking, builds cognitive flexibility, and fosters the formation of baseline professional competencies, ensuring the training of highly competitive engineering specialists capable of innovative design and technological activities.
