Анотація
This article explores the significance of soft skills as a fundamental tool for fostering and promoting a culture of academic integrity within the educational environment. The author analyzes how the development of critical thinking, ethical communication, empathy, and personal responsibility influences the perception of academic ethics by both students and faculty members. Special attention is paid to communication strategies that allow for the effective transmission of values such as honesty, trust, and fairness, moving beyond the formal enforcement of punitive measures. The study substantiates that interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence help in constructively resolving conflicts related to breaches of academic standards, such as plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and data falsification. It is argued that integrating soft skills training into the curriculum fosters an environment of openness and mutual respect, where academic integrity becomes an internal personal value rather than a mere external requirement. The findings of this research can be utilized to develop workshops and methodological recommendations aimed at strengthening the academic culture in higher education institutions.
