The article investigates the influence of essential mineral elements on the yield components and overall productivity of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.). The author analyzes the specific roles of macro-nutrients (NPK) and key micro-elements, with a particular focus on boron and sulfur, in the physiological processes of the crop. The research explores how the availability of these elements during critical growth stages affects root development, leaf area index, and the efficiency of photosynthesis. Special attention is given to the correlation between balanced mineral nutrition and the qualitative indicators of the harvest, such as seed oil content and thousand-kernel weight. The findings substantiate that optimizing the mineral profile through combined soil and foliar applications is a decisive factor in achieving stable sunflower yields and enhancing the plant's resilience to environmental stressors.
