The diversity approach is commonly used to ensure dependability attributes of such critical computer-based systems as nuclear power plants information and control (NPPs I&C) systems, including the Reactor Trip System. There are two basic problems emerging in this approach - the choice of product-process diversity kinds and assessment of multi-version systems dependability. This paper presents a study for dependability assessment of two architectures of a typical NPP I&C system, the Reactor Trip System: a diverse two-channel system with three parallel tracks on voting logic "2-out-of-3" in each channel and a diverse three-channel system with two parallel tracks on voting logic "1-out-of-2" in each channel. The multi-fragmentation approach is proposed to provide a detailed description of RTS hardware-software interconnection. The resulting models are stiff, which poses a problem in case of achieving the accurate numerical solution. Thus, the models are solved using a number of approaches and tools to verify the results. Obtained results can help to make informed decision between the observed RTS architectures. Augmented reality in the interests of ESMRM and munitions safety.(2019-10-08) Slyusar, V. M.; Odarushchenko, O. B.; The object of the study is a formalized model of requirements traceability in project documentation for hardware-software systems. The subject matter of the research encompasses the application of mathematical modeling and tool-based approaches to automate the traceability process, focusing on the design and functionality of the TraceTrend software tool. The primary goal of the study is to improve the quality and integrity of requirements management by implementing traceability mechanisms that ensure logical consistency, hierarchical correctness, and complete test coverage across all project documentation stages. The research tasks include: identifying challenges related to manual requirements tracing in safety-critical domains; constructing a formal mathemat-ical model based on set theory, binary relations, and directed graphs; defining binary matrices for requirement inheritance and test coverage; developing automated analysis techniques for traceability conditions; integrating the model into the TraceTrend tool; and demonstrating its applicability through a real-world case study. The study employed the following methods: mathematical modeling of binary relations, model-based testing, static analysis of documentation structures, and the use of Boolean matrix operations for verifying coverage and con-sistency. As a result of the research, a formal model of requirements traceability was created and implemented in the TraceTrend tool. Availability Assessment of a Cloud Server System: Comparing Markov and Semi-Markov Models(Cracow, Poland, 2021-09-22) Ivanchenko, O.; Kharchenko, V.; Moroz, B.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Degtyareva, L. M.; Nowadays Markov Modelling Processes (MMP) found widely use into realm pertaining to availability assessments of diverse complex. technical systems and devices. In this regard, Cloud Server Systems (CSSs) are no exception. However, in order to leverage MMPs for the availability evaluation of CSSs the researchers should take into account that this assessmet procedure based on the utilization of just one distributio that is exponential distribution of times to failure, times 10 repair et prelit events and impacts. In that regard, that some groups of researchers into realm pertaining to CSSs availability are increasingly trying to leverage approaches based on Sem Markov Modelling Processes (SMMPs). Using SMMPs the researchers can consider more number of parametric characteristics and have a realistic picture as regards of availability level for the server system addition, seeking to improve overall availability of CSSs, the results for SMMPs in the so-called borders’ states, when Non-Markovian Process transforms at Markovian Process. AvTA Based Assessment of Dependability Considering Recovery After Failures and Attacks on Vulnerabilities(2019) Kharchenko, V.; Al-Sudani, Mustafa Qahtan Abdulmunem; Shulga, I.; Ponochovnyi, Y. L.; Illiashenko, O.; The paper contains the results of the development and implementation of a cybernetic approach to the creation of resilient systems. The architecture of a resilient system contains redundant components compared to a traditional feedback control system. This is primarily due to the need to implement additional channels in the control system to respond to changes in requirements, environment, or unspecified faults and failures. The general structure of a resilient system is based on the principle of dividing control channels for functional and non-functional characteristics. This allows to react to changes in the information component of the environment during attacks on the system to ensure its cybersecurity. The case for a space resiient system with online verification is described. Three scenarios of the system behaviour to assure resilience are suggested and the first scenario is explored by the use of Markov model. That allows offering options for improving availability function and other indicators of resilient systems. Dependability Assessment for SCADA System Considering Usage of Cloud Resources(2020-05) Ivanchenko, O.; Kharchenko, V.; Brezhnev, E.; Ponochovnyi, Y.
