M.; Muzyka, D.; Chaplygina, A.Feather mites (Acariformes, Astigmata) are a large group of species in which mites of the genus Proctophyllodes Robin, 1868. Analgoidea are among the most common parasites of passerines. These mites are permanent obligate ectoparasites localized on the flight feathers, greater wing coverts, and on the tail. Most species of feather mites are characterized by high host specificity. The taxonomy and fauna of feather mites of the genus Proctophyllodes, and their morphological identification characters in different countries of the world are still a matter of research. The aim of our work was to describe the morphological features and metric parameters of feather mites of the species P. musicus Vitzthum, 1922, isolated from the common blackbird Turdus merula Linnaeus, 1758 in Ukraine. 32 parameters are determined in males and females of P.musicus mites, which characterize both their general structure of the body and sexual dimorphism. The structure and sizes of the body, gnathosoma, idiosoma, prodorsal and hysteronotal shields, epimerites I, setae cp and c3, and the distance between setae of the scapula se–se and si–si are described. In males, the sizes of adanal sucker discs, epigastric shields, genital arch, setae ps2, h3, h2, the distance between setae 4a–4a, g–g, ps3–ps3, ps1–ps1 are additionally described and determined. Lamellae in males are wide, tongueshaped, do not overlap. The aedeagus is short, slightly extending beyond the posterior margin of the genital arch. In female mites, the dimensions of the lobar shield, terminal appendages, and terminal recess are additionally described and determined, taking into account the location of setae ps1, h2, the dimensions of setae cp, c3, h3, h2, the distance between setae h1–h1, the distance between hysteronotal and lobar shields. The mite eggs were measured in the body of the female and on the feathers of the birds. The scientific data obtained in this study expand the already existing data on morphological and metric characters of feather mites of the species P. musicus(Proctophyllodidae) isolated from the common blackbirdДокумент EFFICIENCY OF INTRAVASCULAR LASER BLOOD IRRADIATION IN CATTLE WITH INFLAMMATORY SURGICAL PATHOLOGY(2019) Lockes-Krupka, T. О.; Авраменко, Наталія Олексіївна; Mazannyi, O.he protozoa of kingdom Protista are widespread pathogens of gastrointestinal protozoal diseases in chickens and cause significant economic losses to farms. Prevention includes a set of measures to treat poultry with effective drugs, and disinfect the environmental objects using modern, safe and beneficial means. For this purpose, it is recommended to use disinfectants that have been tested for their disinfestation effect. The aim of the research was to investigate the disinfestation effect of chemicals on the process of sporulation of Eimeria tenella oocysts isolated from chickens in laboratory conditions. It was found that the disinfectants "Virosan" (active substances – alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride and glutaraldehyde) and "Yoderin" (contains iodophores) had disinvasive properties, but their indicators of inhibitory action against sporogony of E. tenella oocysts were not the same. The most effective was the agent alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride and glutaraldehyde mixture, with a 100% inhibitory effect when used at a 0.5% concentration and exposure of 150 minutes. At lower exposures and concentrations, its indicators of inhibitory action ranged within the following limits: at 0.1% concentration to 57.0%, at 0.25% concentration to 84.5%. The inhibitory effect of the iodophor-based disinfectant was lower and varied depending on the exposure (from 30 to 150 min) within the following limits: at 0.5% concentration to 35.7%, at 1.0% concentration to 68.2%, at 2.0% concentration to 93.1%. In addition to stopping the development of Eimeria oocysts, the disinfectants induced changes in their morphological and metric indicators. Metric indicators of oocysts under the action of disinfectants were characterized by lower values of their width (by 4.8–8.7%), and under the action of the iodophor-based agent, by a decrease in the ratio of length / width of oocysts (by 11.0%). The obtained results of the inhibitory action of the disinfectants present prove the possibility of using these agents to combat and prevent eimeriasis in chickensПублікація Lip lesions in horses: case report(2024) Kulynych, S. I.; Туль, Олександра ІванівнаThe article presents the results of monitoring studies on the mucous membrane lesions in Trakehner horses. Based on clinical examination, the localization, size, and number of ulcers, as well as the inflammatory reaction to the presence of necrotic tissue, were determined. In addition to clinical examination, planimetric studies were also carried out to determine the size of the ulcers and the dynamics of their reduction during treatment with aerosol application of PVP iodine spray. To determine the nature of inflammation in the lesion focus, smears were taken from the surface of the ulcers. Microbiological and mycological studies of pathological tissues and feed samples were carried out to establish the etiological factors contributing to the ulcers. It was found that the size of the ulcers varied from 1 to 6 cm, and they were located on the upper and lower lips on both the right and left sides. Neutrophilic leukocytosis was observed in the focus of inflammation. Leukocytes actively phagocytized microorganisms present in the pathological focus. Microscopic fungi of the species A. flavus, A. fumigatus, M. species, and P. commune sprouted on Saburo medium from necrotic tissues of the pathological focus. A similar composition of fungal species was obtained by sowing feed samples fed to horses. Microbiological studies of ulcers revealed the growth of two microorganisms, S. aureus and P. vulgaris, on Baird-Parker agar. On the third day of treatment, compared to the first day, the size of the ulcers decreased by 22.8 %. It is recommended to perform primary surgical treatment of the ulcer, apply PVP iodine spray once a day, and replace the affected feed with high-quality feed to achieve a positive therapeutic effectДокумент Prevalence of Chlamidia-relatedorganisms with zoonotic potential in farms of the Poltava region(2020-06) Viktoriya K. P.; Киричко, Борис Павлович; Tüzün, B.; Kyrychko, O. B.; Киричко, Олена Борисівна; Chetvertak, T.; Kul, I. B.This study aimed to develop and validate an HPLC-MS method for determining Tryfuzol-neo 1% (piperidinium-{[5-(2-furan)-4-phenyl-4Н-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylthio)acetate}) in food control, veterinary, and biological samples, while also investigating its molecular interactions with cancer targets. A novel HPLCMS methodology was developed and successfully applied to quantify Tryfuzol-neo residues in meat and animal organ matrices. Complementary computational studies were conducted using Gaussian calculations at B3LYP, HF, and M062X levels with 6-31g, 6-31++g, and 6-31++g(d,p) basis sets to examine the compound's properties. Molecular docking and dynamics simulations revealed stable binding interactions between Tryfuzol-neo and six cancer-related proteins: 2JW2, 2H80, and 3WZE (liver cancer); 2XIR and 5C5S (kidney cancer); and 3VF8 (spleen cancer). The results demonstrate the method's effectiveness for detecting Tryfuzol-neo in complex biological samples, while the computational analyses suggest potential therapeutic applications through specific protein interactions. This work presents the first validated HPLCMS protocol for Tryfuzol-neo detection in food safety and veterinary medicine contexts, with the additional finding of its promising binding affinity to multiple cancer targets. The combination of analytical and in silico approaches provides a comprehensive characterization of Tryfuzol-neo, supporting its potential dual use as both a veterinary drug and a candidate for further anticancer research. These findings warrant additional pharmacological studies to explore Tryfuzol-neo's therapeutic potential and mechanism of action against the investigated cancer typeДокумент АКАДЕМІК ОЛЕКСІЙ ВОЛОДИМИРОВИЧ КВАСНИЦЬКИЙ І ПОЛТАВА(2020-09) Омельченко, Ганна ОлексіївнаДокумент АКАДЕМІК ОЛЕКСІЙ ВОЛОДИМИРОВИЧ КВАСНИЦЬКИЙ І ПОЛТАВА(2020-09) Авраменко, Наталія ОлексіївнаДокумент АМІНОКИСЛОТНИЙ ТА ЖИРНО-КИСЛОТНИЙ СКЛАД М’ЯСА ДИКИХ ТВАРИН(2017) Н.
