I.; Туль, Олександра Іванівна; Ciorga, М.Temperament is associated with the well-being, health, production and reproduction of cattle. In order to increase the population of individuals with the desired temperament, its evaluation should be standardized and be made one of the obligatory elements of breeding and veterinary examination. A number of different tests are used for temperament assessment. In this article, the importance of temperament correlation with some metabolic, genetic, immunological, production and reproductive parameters have been shown, pointing at its influence on the economy and cattle handling. The most common methods for assessing the temperament of cattle are presented, including long-time scales of temperament assessment. At the same time, the relationship of the temperament of cattle with production efficiency, immunity and reproductive indicators has been shown, indicating that its correct assessment is an important aspect of the proper development of the herd and the associated economic growthПублікація Effectiveness of composite feed adsorbents in binding major mycotoxins under variable ph conditions(2026) Mykhailiutenko, S. M.; Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites produced by fungi of the genera Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Claviceps and Alternaria and represent a significant threat to the safety of cereal crops and animal feed. These compounds may accumulate at various stages of production, storage, and transportation, which necessitates the development and application of effective strategies to reduce their toxic effects. The aim of the study was to perform a comparative evaluation of the adsorption capacity of three mycotoxin-binding agents. The study was conducted under in vitro conditions; therefore, the adsorption efficiency observed may differ under in vivo gastrointestinal conditions. Three commercial mycotoxin binders were tested, each containing 70% inorganic sorbent from the silicate group (bentonite, zeolite, or diatomite) and 30% organic component based on yeast cell walls (sources of mannan oligosaccharides and β-glucans). In preparation No. 1, the organic fraction consisted of yeast cell walls containing 33% MOS and 25% β-glucans; preparation No. 2 contained 20% MOS and 35% β-glucans; and No. 3 contained 20% MOS and 20% β-glucans. The adsorption capacity of the mycotoxin-binding preparations was determined under laboratory conditions using the adsorption isotherm method. All experiments were conducted in eight replicates. The results showed that the highest adsorption efficiency of deoxynivalenol (DON), aflatoxin B1, and zearalenone (ZEA) was observed under acidic conditions (pH 3). The highest sorption of DON, ZEA, and fumonisin B1 (FB1) was achieved by sorbent No. 1 (containing 33% MOS and 25% β-glucans), especially at pH 3. In addition, sorbent No. 1 demonstrated 100% binding of aflatoxin B1 across the entire pH range studied (pH 3, 5, and 7), indicating the stability of its adsorption properties. In contrast, sorbents No. 2 and 3 exhibited relatively low and unstable activity against fumonisin B1; at pH 7, the values ranged from 0.4% to 2.8% The results obtained indicate that sorbent No. 1 can be considered the most versatile and effective for binding the major mycotoxins evaluated in this study.Публікація Effectiveness of ultrasound examination in mono- and mixed infections of dogs(Regulatory Mechanisms in Biosystems, 2026-03-07) Yevstafieva, V. O.; Kryvoruchenko, D. O.; Melnychuk, V. V.; Shcherbakova, N. S.; Dmitrenko, N. I.; Kyrychko, O. B.; Ilchenko, M. O.; Shaferivskyi, B. S.; Protozoan and helminthic gastrointestinal parasites of domestic dogs are very common invasive pathogens. Depending on the parasitic load on the body of a sick animal, the course of the infection varies from asymptomatic to severe, sometimes fatal. In the detection of various pathological conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, an important place belongs to ultrasound examination. It is the fastest, most informative and accessible method of visualization in veterinary medicine, and also allows one to safely assess the state of the abdominal organs and detect pathological changesin good time. The aim of the research was to investigate the informativeness of ultrasound examination of the stomach and small intestine in toxocariasis monoinfection and toxocariasis-cystoisosporiasis co-infection in dogs. It was found that parasitism by Toxocara canis and Cystoisospora canis led to changes in the metric indicators of the stomach and small intestine wall. Even more significant changes were found in toxocariasis-cystoisosporiasis co-infection than in toxocariasis monoinfection. In the latter case, regardless of the weight category of dogs, the changes were characterized by simultaneous thickening of the stomach wall (by 15.4–46.4%) and duodenum (by 10.3%) in dogs weighing 5–15 kg, and duondenum (by 15.1%) in dogs weighing 15–30 kg. Also, in dogs weighing 5–15 kg the thickness of the jejunum wall was reduced by 18.2–32.1%, that of the ileum as well, (by 8.0%) and the ileum wall was thinner in dogs weighing 15–30 kg (by 12.1%). It was found that all dogs infected with T. canis had a thickened submucosal layer of the stomach wall (by 42.9–50.0%) and a thinned mucosal layer of the jejunum wall (by 18.5–35.0%). In dogs weighing 5–15 and 15–30 kg, thickening of the mucous layer of the duodenal wall (by 11.1% and 8.5%, respectively) and thinning of the jejunum wall (by 20.0% and 37.5%, respectively) were detected. In toxocariasis-cystoisosporiasis co-infection, regardless of the weight category of dogs, the changes in the intestines were characterized by thickening of the gastric wall (by 33.3–67.9%), duodenum wall (by 20.9–26.5%) and thinning of the jejunum (by 24.2–39.3%) and ileum wall (by 8.2–15.2%). Changes in the walls occurred due to thickening of all layers of the stomach (by 13.6–80.0%), duodenum (by 12.6–75.0%), as well as thinning of all layers of the jejunum wall (by 20.0–45.0%). Thinning of the ileum wall occurred due to thinning of the mucous layer (by 24.0–40.0%). The obtained data confirm the feasibility of using ultrasound in the assessment of structural and functional changes in the gastrointestinal tract of dogs with mono- and co-infections.Публікація Hoof Pathologies in Cattle(2026) Kulynych, S. M.; Klymas, А.; Shabalin, O.; Zvenihorodska, T.; Petrenko, M. O.; Kolomak, I. O.; Tul, O. I.; Slynko, V. H.; Avramenko, N. О.; Panasova, T. G.; Omelchenko, G. O.; Кулинич, Сергій Миколайович; Петренко, Максим Олександрович; Коломак, Ігор Олегович; Туль, Олександра Іванівна; Слинько, Віктор Григорович; Авраменко, Наталія Олексіївна; Панасова, Тетяна Георгіївна; Омельченко, Ганна ОлексіївнаHoof pathologies are among the most widespread orthopedic disorders in dairy cattle and are a major contributor to reduced animal welfare and productivity. The present study investigated the prevalence, clinical presentation, and treatment outcomes of the most common hoof lesions – digital dermatitis (Mortellaro’s disease), Rusterholz ulcers, purulent pododermatitis, and interdigital dermatitis – across multiple dairy farms in Ukraine. Clinical examinations and therapeutic procedures were performed on more than 9,800 cows from 7 farms during 2022–2023. Diagnosis was conducted during scheduled functional hoof trimming using an orthopedic crush and was confirmed based on lesion morphology, presence of exudate, odor, and pain response. A locally formulated topical powder composed of copper sulfate, zinc oxide, iodoform, and potassium permanganate was applied to purulent –necrotic lesions and compared with a control treatment using a commercial chemi-spray. Therapeutic efficacy was evaluated by lesion healing dynamics and locomotion scores (AHDB system) on days 3, 14, 21, and 45. Digital dermatitis was identified as the predominant lesion, accounting for 50–66% of all diagnosed hoof disorders. The locally formulated powder showed markedly superior therapeutic performance relative to the chemi-spray, accelerating tissue repair and improving locomotion, with full recovery achieved in 86.7–100% of treated cows, depending on farm and lesion type. These findings confirm the persistently high prevalence of hoof diseases in dairy herds and demonstrate the clinical advantage of an affordable, locally prepared treatment formulation. Routine functional trimming, early lesion detection, and evidence-based local therapy remain critical components of effective lameness management in modern dairy production systemsПублікація Lip lesions in horses: case report(2024) Kulynych, S. M.; Кулинич, Сергій Миколайович; Jaśkowski, J.; Zvenigorodska, T. V.; Звенігородська, Таміла Владиславівна; Kolomak, I. O.; Коломак, Ігор Олегович; Tul, O. I.; Туль, Олександра ІванівнаThe article presents the results of monitoring studies on the mucous membrane lesions in Trakehner horses. Based on clinical examination, the localization, size, and number of ulcers, as well as the inflammatory reaction to the presence of necrotic tissue, were determined. In addition to clinical examination, planimetric studies were also carried out to determine the size of the ulcers and the dynamics of their reduction during treatment with aerosol application of PVP iodine spray. To determine the nature of inflammation in the lesion focus, smears were taken from the surface of the ulcers. Microbiological and mycological studies of pathological tissues and feed samples were carried out to establish the etiological factors contributing to the ulcers. It was found that the size of the ulcers varied from 1 to 6 cm, and they were located on the upper and lower lips on both the right and left sides. Neutrophilic leukocytosis was observed in the focus of inflammation. Leukocytes actively phagocytized microorganisms present in the pathological focus. Microscopic fungi of the species A. flavus, A. fumigatus, M. species, and P. commune sprouted on Saburo medium from necrotic tissues of the pathological focus. A similar composition of fungal species was obtained by sowing feed samples fed to horses. Microbiological studies of ulcers revealed the growth of two microorganisms, S. aureus and P. vulgaris, on Baird-Parker agar. On the third day of treatment, compared to the first day, the size of the ulcers decreased by 22.8 %. It is recommended to perform primary surgical treatment of the ulcer, apply PVP iodine spray once a day, and replace the affected feed with high-quality feed to achieve a positive therapeutic effectДокумент Pregnancy rate in problem cows treated using OvSynch or CIDR/PRID programs(2022-10) Kulynych, S. B.; Воловик, Лариса БорисівнаThe environmental temperature is one of the most important abiotic factors that significantly affects the development and survival of exogenous stages of development of parasitic nematodes, especially geohelminths. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of temperature on the survival and development of eggs isolated from the gonads of female nematodes Trichuris myocastoris Enigk, 1933, under laboratory conditions in vitro. Experimental studies demonstrated that at a temperature regime from 15°C to 35 °C, the duration of formation of motile larvae in egg cultures ranged from 35 to 170 days, and their survival rates ranged from 61.0 to 87.7%. At a temperature regime of 25 °C the largest number of viable eggs of T. myocastoris was formed, 87.7%. The shortest period of larval formation in eggs was 35 days at a temperature of 35 °C, with 73.7% of viable eggs. The period of embryogenesis lasted 35 days at 35 °C, 55 days at 25 °C, and 170 days at 15 °C. The lethality rate of eggs of T. myocastoris, depending on the cultivation temperature, varied significantly and was 26.3% at a temperature of 35 °C, 12.3% at 25 °C, and 39.0% at 15 °C. The growth and development of eggs during embryogenesis is accompanied by changes in their morphometric indicators. Depending on the temperature regime, we observed an increase of egg length by 2.2–4.5%, a decrease in egg width and shell thickness by 4.7–6.9% and 19.2–28.0%, respectivelyДокумент Synthesis and Antimicrobial Action of 1,2,4-Triazole Derivatives Containing Theophylline and 1,3,4-Thiadiazole Fragments In their Structure.(2021-01-31) Звенігородська, Таміла Владиславівна; Киричко, Борис Павлович; Кравченко, Сергій Олександрович; Гоцуля, Андрій Сергійович; Федотов, Сергій ОлеговичДокумент Test of antimicrobial activity of morpholine 2-(5-(3- fluorophenyl) -4-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-ilthio) acetate (BKP115) by experimental model of pancreatitis in rats(2020-08) Bigdan, O.; Parchenko, V.; Kyrychko, B. P.; Киричко, Борис Павлович; Tüzün, B.; Kyrychko, O. B.; Киричко, Олена Борисівна; Chetvertak, T.; Kul, I. B.This study aimed to develop and validate an HPLC-MS method for determining Tryfuzol-neo 1% (piperidinium-{[5-(2-furan)-4-phenyl-4Н-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylthio)acetate}) in food control, veterinary, and biological samples, while also investigating its molecular interactions with cancer targets. A novel HPLCMS methodology was developed and successfully applied to quantify Tryfuzol-neo residues in meat and animal organ matrices. Complementary computational studies were conducted using Gaussian calculations at B3LYP, HF, and M062X levels with 6-31g, 6-31++g, and 6-31++g(d,p) basis sets to examine the compound's properties. Molecular docking and dynamics simulations revealed stable binding interactions between Tryfuzol-neo and six cancer-related proteins: 2JW2, 2H80, and 3WZE (liver cancer); 2XIR and 5C5S (kidney cancer); and 3VF8 (spleen cancer). The results demonstrate the method's effectiveness for detecting Tryfuzol-neo in complex biological samples, while the computational analyses suggest potential therapeutic applications through specific protein interactions. This work presents the first validated HPLCMS protocol for Tryfuzol-neo detection in food safety and veterinary medicine contexts, with the additional finding of its promising binding affinity to multiple cancer targets. The combination of analytical and in silico approaches provides a comprehensive characterization of Tryfuzol-neo, supporting its potential dual use as both a veterinary drug and a candidate for further anticancer research. These findings warrant additional pharmacological studies to explore Tryfuzol-neo's therapeutic potential and mechanism of action against the investigated cancer typeДокумент The efficiency of electrometric method of estrus detection in cows(2019-01) Кулинич, Сергій Миколайович; Бердник, Василь Петрович; Панасова, Тетяна Георгіївна; Panasova, T.
